I'm happy to live in so interesting times. James Webb telescope, SLS etc., but there's nothing like we had with the Apollo program and the mighty Saturn V rocket.

View in full-screen and turn the volume up... but not too much, it's pretty loud. This is GORGEOUS, my new #1 piece of space porn!

From the James Webb telescope: Jupiter. That's not from a probe 1 million km away, but from 700 millions!

Is that a moon shadow to the left of the big white spot?

At first glance I'd say yes, but it almost looks like the gasses are moving around it. That could just be coincidence though.

By the way, just in case anyone isn't aware, it's actually Proxima Chorizo. ;)

A little joke by a french astronomer.

FU!

Well, there's me, the foolish smartass who couldn't distinguish a salami from Proxima Centauri. Well played Sir, well played!

Edit: I'm still angry about myself.

Hey, who knows. Maybe we'll get an actual photo that shows it really is made of salami.

And since the moon is made of cheese, I think it's pretty obvious now that the universe is actually one big sandwich. :p

Here's a video that highlights the difference between the JWST and Hubble, in case anyone was wondering.
