This is an experiment to see if Monopoly will work when being played on a forum setting.
The Players in order of turn are:
1. D2DC
2. Leopold Stotch
3. Noodle
4. Coju
5. Skjolde.
The Basic Game Rules are as follows:
1. The Rule Set is “Out For Blood”
All properties have been assigned to players via random dice roll system. All dollar amounts and fines and fees are Quadrupled. The Bank has $82,320.00. Each player starts with $6,000.00. Passing “Go” is $800.00. Jail is named “Hell” so, you go to Hell. Getting out of “Hell” is $200, etc.
All properties (Colored Titles, Rail Roads and Utilities) were each assigned a number between 1 and 28. Then a dice roll was rolled for each player until all properties were assigned. The order of who rolled first, second, third, fourth, fifth was determined by rolling 1D100.
The order of rolling was as follows:
D2DC, Leopold Stotch, Noodle, Coju, Skjolde.
1D20+8 was used until all numbers were assigned. In the case of a number being rolled that was already assigned, I rolled again and until I rolled an un assigned property.
There are no Auctions on properties.
2. The order of Rolling dice in play is as follows:
D2DC goes first
Skjolde goes second
Coju goes third
Noodle goes fourth
Leopold Stotch goes fifth
Return to D2DC.
3. Chance and Community Chest Cards:
The standard cards for the game are included (1-16) plus several surprise cards, some of which are…personalized (17-30) for both Chance and CC. I roll for a random card. That card then returns into the stack. Unlike conventional Monopoly a card does not go to the bottom of the stack, it is instead returned to the deck and when the next card is to be drawn, a card is picked at random again.
4. Player Trades:
Of course, player trades are allowed. A player may make any offer in trade, counter offer, or refuse. Trades are to be done via PM between the two players and myself so that I can track things.
*****Player trades may only be initiated with another player when it is your turn*****
5. Houses and Hotels/Motels. Same number of these as in Standard Monopoly Applies. Same rules apply as to purchasing houses and the Hotels/Motels. There are 32 houses and 12 Hotels.
Hotel/Motel means the same thing. 12 Total. Not 12 of each.
6. Free Parking:
All fines and directions from Chance and CC Cards that instruct a player to pay a monetary amount (but not to another player) will go into the pot. All monies collected from the Income Tax, Luxury Tax and having to pay to “get out of Hell” go into the pot and can be won by a player *if* a player lands on “Free Parking”.
7. Initial Property Assignment (via random roll):
8. Player Board Tokens:
Noodle – Moonshine Barrell
D2DC – Cop Car
Leopold Stotch – Whip
Coju – Bar of Gold
Skjolde – Sack of Money
9. Time limits. Not sure if I’m going to impose limits on time for people to roll or accept or decline a trade. Will revisit this as necessary.
